David and Deena were called to serve from 2008-2010 as President and Companion of the Guatemala Missionary Training Center in Guatemala City, Guatemala.

Over 2,200 missionaries passed through the MTC to begin their service in Panama, Costa Rica, Honduras, El Salvador, Nicaragua, Belize, and Guatemala.

Though they only had the missionaries for a few weeks each, they helped them begin their mission journey on the right foot: with "a love of God and of all men" and to "thrust in their sickle with all their might".
